Supporting people into paid employment

We believe with the right support and work environment, based on the values of social and economic inclusion, promoting self-determination, choice and independence – you can achieve all your life goals and aspirations! Unlike the historic “sheltered workshop” or Disability Enterprises, Hurdles pro-vides inclusive and progressive supports, through modernised programmes to reflect the ambitions of people with disability.

Our supports enable people who need additional assistance to succeed in finding or maintaining work. We do this by:

  • Providing ‘real jobs’ in ‘real workplaces’.
  • External wage assessments and remuneration through the applicable industry awards.
  • Offering new opportunities, to develop skills and personal qualities valued in mainstream employment.
