Our Supported Employment programs offer people with disability support in work activities, in a job they desire.

Employment plays a pivotal role in defining an individual’s quality of life, and we believe everyone should be given this opportunity. Our Mentors help you create your unique Employment Journey, filled with support that is individually tailored and targeted where it is needed most.

Hurdle supports:

  • Training and experience in real jobs in real workplaces
  •  External wage assessments and remuneration through modern industry awards.
  • On-the-job training and cognitive skills development.
  • Transition from Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE) to mainstream employment.

Our Social Enterprise

Hurdle Gardening & Lawn Care services provides supported employment opportunities for individuals funded by the NDIS – with a desire to work in the gardening and landscaping sector.

Our program offers:

  • A “real job” – supported employees receive a Letter of Offer and Position Description.
  • Supported employees are externally wage assessed annually
  • Remuneration in accordance with the Gardening & Landscaping Services Award.
  • Opportunity to complete a Cert II in Horticulture.
  • Training on the job.
